Severe abuse of land or wildlife
Trash can be cleaned. Some harm cannot. Killing or cruelly harming animals, wanton destruction of the land, or threats to the host’s safety are treated as severe abuse — not a two-sided review dispute.
What counts as severe abuse
- ▸Killing, trapping, or cruelly harming wildlife on the host’s property
- ▸Deliberate large-scale trash dumping or toxic dumping
- ▸Arson or intentional severe property destruction
- ▸Threats or violence toward the host or household
What Immerse will do
- Immediate suspension of the guest account pending review
- Permanent ban when abuse is substantiated
- Preserve stay record, messages, and any photos the host provides
- Do not force the host to ‘work it out’ with the guest
- Point the host to local law enforcement and state wildlife / conservation agencies when animals or crimes may be involved
- Never send that guest to another Immerse host
Host rights
- ▸Close or pause listings at any time with no penalty for protecting themselves or their land
- ▸Refuse future guests after a severe incident
- ▸Document the scene (photos, dates, vehicle/description notes) for authorities
- ▸Expect Immerse not to treat wildlife killing as a cleaning-fee conversation
Honest limit of Care
Immerse Care does not claim to make anyone whole for irreversible harm — including killed wildlife, destroyed heritage trees, or similar losses. In those cases our role is: immediate account ban for the responsible guest, help preserving evidence, and clear guidance to contact law enforcement and wildlife/conservation officers. Money is not a substitute for what was lost.
No platform can restore animals that were killed or fully repair a host’s trust. Prevention, bans, and real-world reporting are the limits of what we can do — and we will not pretend otherwise.
If this happens to you
- Do not confront if you feel unsafe — prioritize your safety.
- Photograph the scene if you can do so safely (wide shots + details).
- Note dates, times, vehicle descriptions, and any names you have.
- Contact local law enforcement and, for wildlife, your state wildlife / conservation agency.
- Report the stay in Immerse with the evidence so the account can be banned.
